One resolution I made for myself was to do more professional reading on a regular basis. Well, I should say any professsional reading because I was sadly lacking in that department! Luckily, there are tons of online journals available that give you access to the latest peer-reviewed research in various fields of education. Here is one that I found: The International Reading Association. It gives you access to various reading education journals which are a rich source of articles, studies and teacher tips all grounded in current research.  So far, there are too many articles and not enough time! You can check it out for yourself at www.reading.org.

This is a quick video tour of a website that has a lot of great printable reading resources. It is a pay site but hopefully this sneak preview may convince you to at least take a peek yourself!

This is just one website from the Learning A-Z group, but I have to say, it is my favourite! To see for yourself, head to http://www.readinga-z.com and don't hesitate to see the other A-Z sites at http://www.learninga-z.com/.

In the video below, I explain and share practical resources that help me to implement the eight reading comprehension skills in my classroom.
Below are the websites and resources mentioned in the video. I have uploaded both PDF and Pages formats so you can modify the files for your own use.
